RSA Token Connection Instructions for
PinnacleHealth Remote
Prerequisites:
Once you've received a token, it is recommended that you preview the online demo, which explains the basic concepts on function and usage of the Token. The demo is available by clicking here.
Please read these instructions in their entirety before attempting to connect for the first time.

1. Verify that your browser is Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, and has 128-bit cipher strength. To check this, open Internet Explorer and on the menu bar click "Help," then "About." A window will open with version and security information (see below).

Figure 1
If the browser is not at the required version or security level, it must first be upgraded. Version 6.0 can be downloaded from the Microsoft website at this address:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx3. Connect to the PinnacleHealth web portal. In the Internet Explorer address bar type in http://portal.pinnaclehealth.org . Alternatively, you can connect to http://www.pinnaclehealth.org then select the Secure Access link. On the portal page, there are options for Healthcare Professionals, Employees, and Vendors. There is also a link to create a PIN if this is the first time you are using your token (see Figure 2 below)
.

4. Create a PIN. If you have already created a PIN and used your token, skip to step 5. If not, click the link for creating a PIN. You will see the RSA token PIN creation screen (see Figure 3 below). Enter your Pinnacle network logon ID in the "Username" area. This is the same logon ID you use to log into the network from your work PC every day (non-Pinnacle personnel will have been issued a logon ID with the token). In the "PASSCODE" area, enter the six-digit code that is displayed on your RSA token. You will then be in "New PIN mode" and the window will change to the PIN creation screen (see Figure 4 below).
Enter an alphanumeric PIN that is 6 - 8 characters in length, then enter it again to verify and click "Send." If your PIN is accepted you will be taken back to the screen in Figure 3. Wait until the code on your token changes to the next number. Enter your username, and for the passcode enter your PIN plus the code displayed on your token. This PIN+Tokencode combination is what you will enter from this point on in the "PASSCODE" area. If you entered everything correctly, a verification window will appear. You may close this window and return to the Web Portal page.

5. Select Server Apps. Most employee applications (Homecare, Novius Radiology, RAS, EHS, Kronos) are available on the Server Apps link. (If your application is listed under Intranet, please stop here and select the instructions for connecting to those applications on the portal page.) Select your application under Server Apps and a login window will appear (see Figure 5 below). Enter your username and your passcode (PIN + tokencode), leave the realm set to "Token" and click the Log In button.
Depending upon your connection speed, within a few seconds you'll see one or two security screens pop up (see Figure 6 below). For each screen you must click on the "Yes" button to install the java browser components. This will only happen the first time you connect from any given PC. Once the java components have downloaded to your browser, you should see a screen with an icon(s) for the applications to which you have access (see Figure 7 below).

6. Logon to Server Clicking on an application icon (i.e. Server TSERV-EXT) will take you to the Windows logon screen (see Figure 8 below). At this screen you will enter your network logon and password. You do NOT use the token at this screen. Once logged in, you will see a standard Windows desktop (see Figure 9 below). Applications can be started from the desktop or from the Start, Programs menu.

7. Disconnecting from the Server When you've finished, click on "Start," "Shutdown" in the lower left corner of the screen. A small logoff window will appear. Click "OK" and you will return to the Netilla platform application window (Figure 7). You may then click on the blue logout tab to close your session.
8. Troubleshooting For token authentication problems, be sure that you are entering your PIN + Token Code. Also verify that your browser is configured correctly. Consult this document for troubleshooting and checking browser settings: troubleshooting-nsp1.pdf . Page 21 of this document begins the necessary troubleshooting and configuration information.
